BRITISH COUNCIL ON AGEING
www.bcageing.org.uk
The BCA aims to promote understanding between the different disciplines involved in the study of ageing and older people. The BCA, acting through the learned societies, will aim to improve and increase training of young researchers and clinicians in gerontology and the biology of ageing. The Council will act as a contact point for policy makers in government and elsewhere, providing informed opinion in the areas of social and medical gerontology and the basic biology of the ageing process. Through these various actions the BCA hopes to raise awareness of current issues for the older individual and the benefits of an improved understanding of the ageing process.
